Student Services
We reconstructed our special education program over the last two years to further meet the needs of our learners. Our school has a full time Learning Centre to assist designated or regular students requiring guided support for their academic studies. In addition we have Adapted and Modified courses aligned with academically qualified teachers who adapt their programs to meet the educational learning needs of our students. Our excellent educational assistants are timetabled into classrooms where teachers and students can use the extra help, and this team approach is serving students well. We have on-site testing available through our counseling department which allows us to assess the learning challenges of our students. Our goal is to provide the best program for our special needs students in an environment that is supportive and nurturing and which meets the requirements of the goals as set out in each student’s individual educational plan.
