Hatzic Secondary is a comprehensive high school located in rural Mission, approximately 4 km east of the City of Mission, British Columbia, Canada. Overlooking the Fraser River with the Westminster Abby in the background, Hatzic Secondary is situated in a beautiful location. Our 800 plus students come from both city and rural areas, bringing with them diverse educational interests and challenges. Our academic year is from September to June with students in Middle School (Grades 7 - 9) and Grad Program (Grades 10 - 12).

Grade 12 Parent Evening

The Great Little Coupon Book Fundraiser & Neufeld Farms

The Hatzic Volleyball Leadership class is selling “The Great Little Coupon Book” as a fundraiser for their program. The coupon book is full of great deals from A&W to Mission Springs to golfing and more! The cost of the book is only $10.00 and will pay for itself with just one use! “Click here” to check out the coupon book offers, ….. and “click here” if you would like to place an order.

It’s back! Volleyball leadership is doing a fundraiser with Neufeld Farms. Cookie Pucks and a variety of meats for sale. Please see the attached order forms. If you have never tried their products, you might be in for a treat. Orders are due November 20 and will come in on Tuesday, Dec. 2 at 5:00pm. Just in time for the Holiday Season.

Homework Club

Homework Club is up and running! Students will be able to access homework club in the Aboriginal Room on Tuesdays and Thursdays. A late bus will promptly pick students up at 4:30pm.

Grade 7 Parent Night

General Information


Parents - Please remember to call the office at 604.826.3651, within 48 hours, if your child will be absent, or if your child has an appointment. Any student that does not have a parent's permission to be excused will be marked away with an unexcused absence. Also, please take note that we DO NOT accept email or text messages, a parent must call in.

New Registrations

When registering, please bring a copy of the student's last report card, a birth certificate and a document containing your address (proof of residency)with you. Registration Forms may be found here and course selection forms may be found here.

Mission Public Schools Bus Transportation Registration 2014-15

Families are advised that registration of students who will be seeking bus transportation must do so, in person at the School District Office at 33046 Fourth Avenue during regular business hours 8:00am – 4:00pm M-F. If you are unavailable during those hours, alternate arrangements can be made by calling 604.826.6286 ext. 3246

In order to ride a district school bus all new and returning riders must register. School District policy applies to all applications and can be viewed here on our website.


Students that qualify to use district transportation services but who have not registered by June 30th will not be guaranteed a seat on a bus. Any registrations received after the June 30th deadline will incur a 20% surcharge fee.

Flooding, Snow or Inclement Weather Information

Parents/guardians are advised to listen to one of the following radio stations for updates on weather conditions, with winter weather approaching:

Decisions about school schedules and bus route changes are almost always made in the early morning before school. This allows for the most current weather information to factor into the decision. This information is communicated immediately, generally before 6:30 a.m., using the methods above. Click on the snowman to get redirected to the latest news:

Inclement Weather

Cell Phone, i-pods and other electronic devices

Students may use these devices before school, after school and during the lunch hour. Devices may not be permitted in the classroom without teacher permission.
